Terms and Conditions

The video cameras will be in use during all lessons, recording only external images. This is for use in the event of any accidents or incidents. Internal images will only be recorded during instructor training at the pupils request for them to take away with them.

Any damage caused to the vehicle by you, for example, being sick, spilling drinks, etc the pupil will be held responsible and liable for any cleaning costs and loss of earnings.

Andy will not be held responsible for damage or marking to clothing as a result of coming into contact with areas of the vehicle subjected to road dirt, brake dust and mechanical oils or grease when partaking in the Show me / Tell me, section of the course or Practical test.

Payment for lessons is always one week in advance, all block booking payments are non refundable. In exceptional circumstances and at the Andy’s discretion any refunds that are to be made would be done directly from Andy to you on a pro rata basis for the lessons that have been taken.

Absence from driving for a period of 3 weeks or more will terminate any agreement between you and the driving school. Further lessons will be able to be booked however all offers previously given will be void and a new contract will begin.

Cancellations should be made 48 hours prior to the lesson me, failure to give this cancellation period will result in the lesson fee being chargeable. Andy Hinchcliff  reserves the right not to charge in exceptional circumstances. Andy will provide free lessons if he cancels due to illness

All cancellations are to be made by telephoning the instructor directly. Please note that no other form of contact will be accepted, for example text and email.

Andy will not give free lessons if the car is damaged or unserviceable. (Tires, windscreen, accident etc) or in the event of bad weather.

The Driving school allows a 15 min waiting me for the instructor, due to unforeseen delays such as traffic etc. In the event a mechanical breakdown of the vehicle in which you have been learning to drive, or for any other reason then Andy reserves the right to re-arrange a driving lesson to a time convenient to both you and the instructor.

Andy reserve’s the right to refuse a driving lesson or terminate a driving lesson should the driver be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance that would contravene road safety. This includes tiredness.

If when you start your lessons you are a total non driver your may be eligible to have Andy pay for your first test fee. This is paid for by Andy Hinchcliff  and not taken from part of your lesson fee’s. This is not transferable or refundable. To remain eligible it is required that you take weekly lessons up to the me of the test (Holidays and sickness accepted) .

A test can only be booked with the full consent of Andy. We reserve the right to withdraw our car for test without notice should the instructor consider the pupil not to be up to test standard. Andy can not be held responsible for the failure of bulbs/lights etc during the driving test, These will be checked with the pupil before arrival at the test centre to ensure that they are all working correctly.

Mobiles and personal property may be brought on the lesson, however the pupil is to ensure that all their property is removed at the end of the lesson, or it may be returned at the next lesson or payment for travelling me will be charged.

If your test is cancelled at short no ce by the DVSA, your lesson fee is still payable. Your lesson fee may be able to be claimed by yourself from the DVSA who may reimburse such expenses.

In accordance with GDPR i would like to inform you that I will hold your personal information relative to your driving course for 2 years after you have completed your driving course. If you would like your information deleting prior to this date please contact Andy Hinchcliff  on 07800 932822

All driving courses and lessons are due payment on or before the lesson start date. Any payments outstanding beyond this period will be referred to Daniels Silverman Limited and will be subject to a surcharge of 15% plus VAT to cover the collection costs incurred. This surcharge together with all the other charges and legal fees incurred will be the responsibility of the customer and will be legally enforceable .
